CULIACAN, Mexico, Jan. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Grupo VIZ / SuKarne, a leading Mexican company worldwide and Mexico's principle exporter of beef, increased international sales by more than 60 percent in just one year, according to preliminary 2010 results, to a total of more than 250 million dollars, said Jesus Vizcarra Calderon, the company's chairman of the board and main shareholder.

According to Vizcarra Calderon, the company has maintained steep growth of approximately 20 percent annually over the past two decades. Under his leadership, SuKarne has experienced uninterrupted growth in a sector that was one of the first to open up to global competition.

Vizcarra Calderon also pointed out that, according to preliminary data, SuKarne's total sales last year grew by 34 percent to a total 1,340 million dollars, compared to 1,000 million dollars in 2009.

SuKarne, positioned as one of the top 15 companies of its kind in the world, exports products to countries such as the United States, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Russia, Vietnam and Angola. The 2011 outlook is for exports to increase by an estimated 40 percent.  

Vizcarra Calderon said that in comparison to the marginal growth of the Mexican beef sector last year, SuKarne registered a nearly 25 percent increase.
