This year's voyage takes place on Norwegian Cruise Line's Escape, the largest ship in its fleet, from November 9th to 12th departing from Miami, FL.
Through Summit At Sea 2016, Summit Series is looking to re-define what is possible in the medium of gatherings and community experiences; weaving together inter-generational cross-disciplinary wisdom from across the globe.

Summit at Sea 2016 will convene over 3,000 of the brightest leaders in business and culture from around the world for a voyage across international waters to an uninhabited tropical island in the Bahamas, built out specifically for this event by the Summit team.
The surreal settings of the open sea and an uninhabited tropical island will set the stage for thought-provoking discussions, musical performances by legendary and emerging artists, and cutting edge art experiences and activities. The event programming is divided into six core areas: intellectual discourse, performance, adventure, wellness, culinary and impact.

Highlights of this year's programmed speakers and performers include Herbie Hancock, Eric Schmidt, Kendrick Lamar, Foster The People, Norman Lear, Anne-Marie Slaughter, Patrisse Cullors, John Sculley, and Kweku Mandela and many more. The event, which is now on its 3rd voyage, will continue to focus on impacting broad social change through partnerships on criminal justice reform, blockchain technology applications for social good, environmental conservation, and supporting our nation's veterans.
World-Class Athletes
Summit At Sea will also feature many of the United States' top Olympic athletes, ranging from three time volleyball gold medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings, five time swimming gold medalist Dara Torres, fencer Miles Chamley Watson. Other legendary athletes participating include Tony Hawk, body hacker / survivalist Wim Hof and Yoga teacher Shiva Rea. Many of which are leading immersive physical and athletic sessions throughout the experience.
World-Class Culinary Experiences
For this year's voyage, Summit has taken over the entire culinary program of all 16 restaurants on board, directed by restaurateur and food activist Jeffrey Zurofsky, who will be working with guest chef partners including Carla Hall, Marco Canora, Georgia Pellegrini, Phil Winser and many more. The culinary program is focused on providing the most nourishing experience on a cruise ship ever, sourcing antibiotic-free & organic meats, dairy and produce. The culinary team includes some of the great thought leaders & practitioners on issues spanning social justice, immigration, sustainability, gender equality.
Artistic Influences
The environment is being collaboratively designed through extraordinary immersive art experiences with some of the top contemporary artists of our time, ranging from Hank Willis Thomas, Nina Chanel Abney, Alexa Meade among others.
Musical Performances
Live performances by Foster The People, Jose Gonzales, Gallant, Rhye, Bob Moses, Thievery Corporation, and many other musical, dance and theatre performances fill out the entertainment and arts program for the event, representing the bleeding edge of Jazz, R&B, Electronic, Reggae and Pop music.
