SuperPac Launches 250 Million Dollar Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama
ABO 2012SuperPac announced the start of an unprecedented juggernaut to unseat President Obama. According to the ABO2012SuperPac.com website, "for the first time in America, thanks to the Citizens United decision (which allows unlimited individual and corporate campaign contributions), individuals and small and medium size businesses have the freedom to have their voices heard, and to have an impact on the presidential election."
CHEYENNE, Wyo., Feb. 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- "Anyone But Obama" is the rallying cry for ABO 2012SuperPac. The ABO2012SuperPac.com website calls ABO the only SuperPac dedicated exclusively to defeating President Obama. "I can't get behind any of the Republican candidates, but Obama still has to go," said ABO contributor Jay Gallagher. Gallagher goes on to say, "ABO is taking the fight directly to Obama; it's all about giving America the facts about Obama's failed presidency."
ABO2012SuperPac.com states that "labor unions have committed to spending $500 million to keep Obama in office...the President and his supporters are expected to spend over $1 billion." In response to "Obama's efforts to buy a second term," ABO2012SuperPac.com states, "ABO will blunt the unions and Team Obama's impact by empowering individuals and small businesses to make a difference in 2012." Thomas Thetford, ABO spokesman, states, "Blue state voters and business owners can now have an impact well beyond the borders of their traditionally democratic states."
Thetford continues by claiming that "ABO 2012SuperPac will be the most effective anti-Obama force in the presidential race." According to Thetford, "ABO 2012SuperPac doesn't have the traditional campaign burden of opposing Obama plus supporting and defending the eventual Republican nominee." ABO2012SuperPac.com also introduces its person-to-person grass roots organization, FACT2012.org, which it describes as the "hub for the F.A.C.T. Network (Field Action Communication Teams)". According to the website, "Team members will stage local events throughout the US to give voters the FACTS about Obama's failures, lies and broken promises." FACT2012.org calls the FACT Network the "foot soldiers in the battle to Retake America from Barack Hussein Obama in 2012."
