'Support Tebow's Super Bowl Ad' Group on Facebook Scoring Touchdown With Fans
WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A coalition of abortion rights groups are expressing "outrage" over an upcoming Focus on the Family Super Bowl ad about a woman's decision to continue with a high-risk pregnancy against doctor's advice -- a mother's personal choice which resulted in the birth of Tim Tebow , who has become one of America's biggest college football stars.
"It's fascinating that NOW [the National Organization for Women] is wanting to censor the Tebows from telling their story. What is NOW afraid of? NOW does not want people to hear Mrs. Tebow's inspirational story and they are coming out against one woman talking about her choice. Why don't they want the American women to hear about the infinite possibilities that life offers?" said Americans United for Life President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest on MSNBC. "Why doesn't NOW raise the money and put their own ad on? Let's have freedom of speech. Let's have an open airing of opinions."
The new Facebook group, "Support Tebow's Super Bowl Ad", devoted to "supporting Focus on the Family's right to Free Speech," is growing by the minute on the social networking site. The Facebook group, presented by Americans United for Life Action and LifeNews.com, aims to demonstrate wide support for the responsible decision made by CBS to air the ad and for the right of the Tebow family to present their story.
