Tenor Anthony Kearns to Perform at The BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® in Chicago on Sat., Nov. 21, 2015 at 6 p.m. CT
CHICAGO, Nov. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- World-renowned tenor Anthony Kearns returns to Chicago to perform at the 2015 BMO Harris Bank Magnificent Mile Lights Festival on Sat., Nov. 21, 2015 at approximately 6:15 p.m. CT. The hour-long live program will be broadcasted by ABC 7 Chicago.
Featuring beloved characters from the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida, musical performances, fireworks, and more than a million twinkling lights along North Michigan Avenue, the special will showcase the country's largest evening holiday celebration and will be aired nationally throughout December 2015.

Marking the 24th anniversary of the festival, the Lights Festival will air on ABC 7 Chicago at 6 pm, will stream live on Watch ABC, and be available on demand at abc7chicago.com. Encore broadcasts will also air Sun., Dec. 13 at 1p.m. local and Sun, Dec. 20 at 2 pm local on ABC 7 Chicago.
Mr. Kearns said he expects to enjoy the uplifting sights of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, straight from Walt Disney World Resort, as well as special performances from Million Dollar Quartet, pop duo The Girl and The Dreamcatcher featuring Dove Cameron and Ryan McCartan among others.
Kearns is a member of the famous PBS super-group, The Irish Tenors, with whom he has 10 best-selling CDs – including their 2003 album, "We Three Kings," and the 2009 album, "Christmas" – and at least five television specials. Two years ago, Kearns sang "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" on the Fox News Network's popular show, "Huckabee," to launch the holiday season.
Kearns will be returning to Chicago after previous performances at many concert venues such as the Rosemount Theatre with Linda Ronstadt and the Chicagoland Pops Orchestra. Last year, Kearns was the featured entertainer at the 113th Annual St. Patrick's Day Banquet hosted by the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago on March 14, 2014 honoring Chicago Blackhawks CEO John McDonough, Mayor Rahm Emanuel and others. The event, hosted by one of the city's oldest and most respected Irish organizations, drew hundreds of attendees.
Kearns released his first solo CD, "With a Song in My Heart," in fall 2013 and has made several television appearances since, including last year's National Memorial Day Concert (live on PBS for 10 million viewers.)
Mr. Kearns frequently performs on television, and with the finest symphony orchestras, in opera, and many corporate and charitable events each year. He has had the honor to sing for three U.S. Presidents, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Medal of Honor recipients – and most recently, at the pre-Mass concert in honor of Pope Francis in Philadelphia.
