MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that it will provide Texas Southern University with free business intelligence software licenses as an educational resource.  MicroStrategy offers free software for teaching to many universities as part of its commitment to developing the BI skills of the next generation of leaders.

Texas Southern University will use MicroStrategy in the Jesse H. Jones School of Business in the MBA and the EMBA programs. MicroStrategy will be used to show students how business intelligence reports and dashboards can support decision making, create an information democracy, support transparency, and track enterprise performance against strategic objectives. MIS students will develop business intelligence solutions for real-world problems identified by the school's business partners, including Shell, Citgo, and City of Houston.
