The Marze Por Gohar Party Welcomes the Slogans of the Bahraini Youth

The Bahraini revolution has a special place in the hearts of Iranians that sets it apart from all the other uprisings sweeping across the Middle East and North Africa.

The young revolutionaries of Bahrain have raised slogans, fostering unity with their Iranian brethren, which will undoubtedly signify the dawn of a new era in the region, where in time natural and historical ethnic, cultural and national  unities will dominate over colonial lines and political blocks.

Despite the fanatical and anti Iranian nature of the current Islamic regime in Iran (IRI), the urge to revive Iranian identity among Iranian, Afghan, Tajik and many others across the Grater Persian Gulf  and Central Asian lands, is quickly dominating the narrow Islamist fanaticism fostered by the IRI for 32 years.

During Bahraini demonstrations in early March 2011, the Bahraini secular youth, with their revived Iranian patriotism raised the following slogans which do not signify any religious agenda or fanaticism:

"No to Arab Brotherhood... Long Live Iran", and

"Long Live Iran... Down with Khalifah Dynasty"

It is evident that in spite of massive Saudi expenditures and ideological propaganda, forty years after the British inspired forced separation of Bahrain from Iran*, the Bahraini youth have not forgotten their Iranian heritage and their thousands of years of common destiny and life with their Iranian Brethren. It is Ironic that the current same Islamic Republic that continues to occupy Iran, which has repeatedly demonstrated its urge to destroy pre Islamic culture, heritage and even archaeological sites within Iran, is distancing itself from such unilateral approaches by those craving for their Iranian identity and heritage. The IRI had also previously refused to identify with Azeri, Afghan and Tajik  Iranians, not fearing regional powers but rather fearing the very Iranian identity within Iran and the neighboring regions which has been a constant deterrent to the sectarian Shiite identity of the regime which is the only identity recognized by these invaders.

* Following the decision of the British empire to get out of the Persian gulf in the late 1960s, they decided to create certain entities to replace their influence. This strategic plan led to the creation of several semi independent Emirates, later to become independent countries and alliances on 1973. Included in this plan was the forced separation of the Bahrain Island and surrounding region from Iran in 1971, with a fake "referendum" by the people of Bahrain which never legally took place and its ratification by the Iranian government which was never legally ratified by the Shah. A minority Arab government under a local Sheikh ( the Khalifah Dynasty, now challenged by the Iranian majority) was installed to replace the Iranian sovereignty and the British colonial navy presence.

In order to prevent a regional military confrontation which has already been initiated by the Saudi and Emirate armies invading Bahrain and retaliatory threats by the Islamic Republic in Iran potentially leading to a major regional war, the MPG party strongly urges all the people of Bahrain and Iran as well as the international community to support a referendum in Bahrain, whereby they would decide their future system of government as well as their national identity.
