The World Financial Center Launches Facebook and Twitter Pages to Connect With Fans

NEW YORK, May 10, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Brookfield Office Properties has announced the launch of a new social media program for The World Financial Center (WFC), with the development of Facebook and Twitter pages to interact with its tenants as well as New York City residents, visitors and fans across the globe. On Facebook, fans can see announcements regarding upcoming cultural events, receive special offers for shopping and dining and view live updates from the building. Likewise, followers on Twitter can communicate directly with the WFC and receive real-time updates and information about the property and other areas of Lower Manhattan.

Brookfield Office Properties, the global commercial real estate corporation that owns The World Financial Center, created the new pages to promote the property as a destination in downtown Manhattan. Completed in 1988, the WFC has become one of New York City's most iconic and historic commercial complexes.  Home to an array of dynamic cultural events, both in the WFC's Winter Garden and outside on the WFC Plaza, the Center also offers a range of unique waterfront shopping and dining options on the Hudson River as well as opportunities for consumers to rent the space for their own events.
