Working with systems integration partner Vizicom, T+ink has developed a solution making it possible for consumers to connect with a "live expert" while in a retail store shopping for high-end products. The consumer simply selects the appropriate product card, touches it to a webpage or application on their smartphone or tablet, and is routed to the product vendor's contact center where a specific expert instantly appears to answer questions.
Consumers benefit from immediate assistance from an expert, rather than waiting for a sales person, who likely does not have deep product knowledge, to arrive. The expert will appear on the consumer's smartphone screen (the consumer, however, won't be visible to the expert) - and can share information and push media specific to the consumer's questions, including a brief instructional video demonstrating a product feature.
The experience is captured by the brand and shared with the retailer - so the consumer is happier, the retailer wins a sale, and the brand is able to gain valuable information while registering the consumer if the consumer wishes. The brand is able to opt in to providing expert help, which makes the experience more competitive than that of brands who do not provide real-time experts on the platform.
