To Take a Glance Cutting Edge Medicine Equipment! 'The 28th International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show'

SEOUL, South Korea, Feb. 16, 2012  /PRNewswire/ -- 'The 28th Korea International Medical & Hospital Facility Exhibition(KIMES 2012)', the largest health care provider festival, is held at COEX, SEOUL, from Feb.16~19.

This Exhibition, for enhancing a national keep-fit, development of medical scholarship and vitalization of hospital-related industry, is hosted by Korea E&EX, KMDICA(Korea Medical Devices Industrial Cooperative Association), and KMDIA(Korea Medical Devices Industry Association), and is sponsored by MKE (Ministry of Knowledge Economy), MINISTRY of Health & Welfare, Seoul City, KFDA (Korea Food & Drug ADMINISTRATION), and KOTRA. Also it's held on the first & third floor of COEX Exhibition Center, as scale of 36,007 M(2).

Many countries participate in this KIMES 2012 to show 30,000 pieces including cutting-edge medical equipment, hospital facility, medical information, medical related goods and others with total 978 companies from 30 countries. 458 domestic manufacturers, 121 America companies, 75 Japan companies, 74 German companies, 77 China companies, 36 Taiwan companies, Italy companies of 18, England companies of 14 and others are involved in this exhibition.

In particular, the world's best companies such as GE, Siemens, Philips, Toshiba as well as domestic famous companies like Dongkang Medical System, Liestem, Samsung Medicine, JW Medical and HDX etc., participate in KIMES 2012. Domestic representative companies also attend, Jawon Medical, Biospace, Hanshin Medical for sterilizer, BIT Computer for medical information, UBCARE, Infinite Healthcare, JVM for medicine packaging, Daesung Maref for physics treatment equipment.

60,000 Korean and 2,000 overseas buyers from 70 countries are expected, and KIMES 2012 will contribute to export improvement by reconfirming the excellence of Korean products through export consulting, which comes to 4.7 hundred millions(USD) and domestic consumption consulting which comes to 1.4 trillion.

In addition, about 80 seminars, such as 'Special class for healthcare provider,' 'Seminar for medical equipment policy and practical business,' 'Medical Industry & Medical Scholarship Seminar,' 'New product announcement seminar,' 'International scholarship convention & special lecture for radiation,' 'World medical equipment clinical test forum,' 'APEC U-Health Community Forum,' and others will run for providing medical information of high quality to specialist and medical related people.

Domestic local government of Wonju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Daegu and others participate by organizing joint pavilion, also the platform of scholarship information is available with attending development center of university & the department of application technology as well as clinical trials medical treatment equipment center, such as Sinchon Severance Hospital, Chunbuk National University Hospital, Samsung Seoul Hospital and Wonju Medical Equipment Clinical Test Center.

Japan, China, Taiwan, Pakistan and others comes at overseas Pavilion, and it provides much more information by each country.

KIMES 2012 is chosen as the 'Korean Global Top Exhibition' for the fourth consecutive year by The Ministry of Knowledge Economy, and they are trying to provide actual consulting with buyers for export improvement of domestic medical equipment manufacturer by supporting the living expenses of overseas buyers along with invitation.

KIMES executive office arranges 'Foreign free translation center' at the entrance for overseas buyers, and manages free shuttle bus between Songpa Tanchun parking lot and Coex.

This event is held in February because of Nuclear Security Summit Seoul held on March at COEX, also KIMES 2012 opens their exhibition from 10a.m to 6p.m for medical treatment related people working in the provinces.
