The EthicMark® Awards, a permanent project of the World Business Academy, seeks to transform advertising by demonstrating the power of media campaigns to further both the public interest and legitimate private interests.
Hazel Henderson, president of Ethical Markets Media, said: "We welcome nominations for advertising uplifting potentials for our human future. We hope the 2014 nominations include campaigns designed to transform the culture of consumerism which is destroying the earth's ecosystem and depleting its natural resources."
The annual EthicMark® Awards are co-sponsored by Ethical Markets Media, LLC, the World Business Academy, and the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business Marketing Department, in partnership with The SRI Conference and ESPM, one of Brazil's premier institutions of higher education in communication, marketing, and business management over the last 60 years.
Steve Schueth, president of First Affirmative Financial Network and producer of The SRI Conference said: "The EthicMark® Awards recognize the tremendous power of the media to shape social attitudes and national culture. At the annual SRI Conference, we celebrate the responsible investment industry for advancing the notion that investment capital, when directed consciously, can help solve the pressing social, political, and environmental challenges of our times. We recognize the EthicMark® Awards for similar efforts in the realm of mass media, and we are pleased to partner with Ethical Markets Media and the World Business Academy to announce the winner."
