UBM Istanbul coordinated a team of UBM colleagues from across the globe to run the legendary Intercontinental Istanbul Eurasia Marathon and 15km race. Building collaboration and camaraderie of dispersed teams, the group of runners worked together for months cheering one another on during their training, getting to know the local market, and setting personal goals for the gruelling run.
The UBM runners were led by David Levin, CEO of UBM plc. He was joined by a team of international colleagues including: Simon Foster, Kerim Alain Bertrand, Jerome Hainz, Tracy Maurer, Simon Mills, Charlie Cracknell, Simon Parker, Iain Parkinson, Sarah Pettyfer, and Paddy O'Hagan.
The UBM team ran in support of Koruncuk, a local children's charity. Koruncuk protects young children who were abandoned or mistreated, and gives them a family environment in which to live. Further, these children grow up in a healthy environment, receive education, develop their personal skills, and prepare for the future and learn to contribute to the society at large.
