Wei Chen - Around the World Flight for Hope
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- There will be a National Press Conference held for Wei Chen and the Wei Around the World Expedition. The Conference is sponsored by Tengxun and People's Daily.
Mr. Wei Chen is a Memphis business man and adventurer who will be the first Chinese Citizen to fly around the world in a single-engine plane. Mr. Chen intends to spread his message of kindness, opportunity and hope and as an unofficial ambassador of Memphis, Tennessee to China and the world. Mr. Chen hopes to raise over $250,000 for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital through his journey. He will encourage youth to greatness by sharing his personal story of giving and inspiration on stops along the way.
The flight will include over 40 stops in 21 countries. His expedition will take approximately 70 days to complete. Mr. Chen is passionate about and takes pride in helping to bridge East and West relations and cultures.
