Whirlpool Corporation Presents Latest in Product Innovations in Berlin at IFA 2015

BENTON HARBOR, Mich., Sept. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Whirlpool Corporation, the world's leading manufacturer of major home appliances, will bring a full scale demonstration of its latest innovations in home appliances and home appliance technology to Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) Sept. 4 – 9 in Berlin. IFA is a global trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances trade visitors from more than 100 countries. Each of the company's brands in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region will present new product offerings with a glimpse into the future of home appliance innovation. Brands include Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Bauknecht, Essentials and, recently acquired, Hotpoint and Indesit.

This is the first time Whirlpool EMEA will attend the global consumer electronics and home appliance show since its acquisition of Indesit. The combined company is now the market leader in the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Poland and Russia.

At IFA, the company will display its brands and product offerings through a commanding interactive showroom including a 360 degree cooking demonstration experience as well as connected kitchen and laundry home appliances.

Whirlpool brand will show visitors what it is like to have an interactive backsplash and cooktop that connects them to their social networks, favourite websites and recipes, for custom meal/guest planning with no additional devices or books required.

Bauknecht will debut its BLive technology and connected appliances. Through the BLive app smartphones and tablets become remote controls for the washing machine, dryer, freezer/refrigerator and dishwasher. Home appliances can be accessed at any time from any place, note user preferences and communicate with each other.

Indesit will present an impressive selection of new home appliance products including the new eXtra cooling range that brings additional customization for the ultimate in food preservation for the kitchen and the new MyTime washing machine, the first on the market with six "everyday fast" cycles, immediately selectable and tailored to give a perfect result in less than one hour.
