SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WinView Games (www.winviewgames.com), the leading second-screen social gaming startup, announced their top 10 favorite propositions for The Big Game on February 5, 2017. Join in on the fun by downloading the app and playing along live on TV during the game on Sunday.
Predictions have been a part of sports since the dawn of competition. Situational predictions, also known as propositions, have been a part of The Big Game since its beginning (January 15, 1967). With odds on situations ranging from the routine (who will win the MVP?) to the ridiculous (what color will the liquid poured on the winning coach be?), propositions can be as fun as the game is at times. After all, WinView made an app based on them -- the serious ones that is.
WinView Games is a play-by-play live sports predictions app that rewards people with cash for correctly predicting the plays on the field during live game play. WinView Games is a game of skill that is 100% free to play and legal in every U.S. state.
Here are WinView's 10 favorite Big Game propositions:
1. Opening coin toss...Heads or Tails? (even odds)
The beginning of every game doubles as the most popular proposition every year! Tails never fails? The odds are literally a coin flip, but we've got HEADS.
2. Will New England's star cornerback intercept a pass? (Yes 5/2, No 3/10)
With his last second interception of the Hawks in SB49, number 21 for the Patriots sealed the championship for the Pats two years ago and jumpstarted his career as a deadly threat in the secondary. Will he do it again? We say NO.
3. Who will throw the first touchdown pass? (New England's QB 3/4, Atlanta's QB 11/10)
This game features the top two quarterbacks in the league. Who will score first? We've got Atlanta's QB coming out hot!
4. Will there be a penalty for excessive celebration? (Yes 5/2, No 1/4)
When the lights are brightest, will the refs seek to dim them? We say NO.
5. Will a 2-point conversion be successful in the game? (Yes 7/4, No 2/5)
With the extra point being longer and 2-point conversions having over a 50% chance, we think this one is a no-brainer. YES.
6. Will the longest successful field goal be longer than 47.5 yards? (Even on Yes/No)
Coaches tend to call it a little more conservatively in The Big Game. Even though the game will be played in a dome in Houston, with only five field goals in its history longer than 47.5 yards, we're saying NO.
7. What will be higher on Sunday? Golden State's starting point guard Points + Assists (-2.5) or New England + Atlanta first half points?
Golden State's point guard is on an absolute tear lately, and The Big Game tends to be lower scoring than the rest of the season. We're taking the Chef in Golden State.
8. Will Atlanta's QB win Regular Season MVP and SB MVP? (Yes 3/1, No 1/5)
Although he's the frontrunner for the regular season MVP (and 3/1 are fantastic odds), beating New England is going to require huge contributions from the defense. We're going with NO.
9. If New England wins, will the team be shown on TV shaking the league commissioner's hand? (Yes 3/5, No 7/5)
After the Deflategate drama, tensions between the commissioner and the New England core trio has never been higher. However, there's nothing like a Big Game championship to let bygones be bygones, so we say YES.
10. Will there be a flea flicker attempted in the game? (Yes 5/1, No 1/9)
Both New England and Atlanta love to deploy trickery in their offensive game plans. While the chances of a flea flicker being one of those trick plays isn't too high, we love the odds here. YES!
WinView Games is holding its first-ever $10,000 Tournament for the Big Game on Sunday. Participation is free to enter and play in this league vs. league competition format.
