YogaWorks Acquires Yoga Tree San Francisco, Expanding Network Of Studios To Nearly 40 Locations

LOS ANGELES, June 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Santa Monica-based YogaWorks, the yoga industry leader offering multiple disciplines of yoga instruction, announced today the acquisition of San Francisco-based Yoga Tree, bringing together two strong, authentic yoga brands. The acquisition of 8 Yoga Tree studios substantially enhances YogaWorks' existing footprint of 5 Bay Area studios and increases its studio presence to nearly 40 locations across Northern California, Southern California and New York. Originally founded in Santa Monica, CA in 1987, today YogaWorks operates 38 studios across four markets, a robust interactive online platform, MyYogaWorks, and a best-in-class Teacher Training Program. Following the Yoga Tree acquisition, YogaWorks plans to continue expanding with several additional locations scheduled to open in 2015 to deliver its signature yoga offerings.

Yoga Tree students will be able to use their Yoga Tree classes and memberships at all five current YogaWorks studios in the Bay Area -- Larkspur, Mill Valley, San Francisco, Palo Alto and Walnut Creek. Yoga Tree students will also receive one month of complimentary access to over 700 online yoga videos through YogaWorks' rich online platform, MyYogaWorks.com.
