LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Wells of Life, a 501(c)(3) organization based in Los Angeles, is releasing a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) with a special Thanksgivings Day message by renowned tenor, Anthony Kearns.
In the new 60-second PSA, Mr. Kearns, who serves as Wells of Life's National Ambassador, narrates a visual montage featuring children whose lives are improved through their access to fresh drinking water. The PSA is underscored by Kearns' rendition of "Ave Maria" from his new solo CD, "With a Song in My Heart," creating an emotional appeal for support. (See the PSA: http://goo.gl/AO6ywa)
"I'm proud to support a good cause – to help bring clean water to 1,000 communities in rural Uganda – because water is as precious as life itself to millions around the globe," said Kearns in the PSA. "This Thanksgiving, please stand with me in the challenge put forth by Wells of Life, a nonprofit charity, to bring clean water to 1,000 communities."
Wells of Life provides Ugandan communities access to clean and safe drinking water by building water wells. Every well that is drilled positively impacts the lives of thousands – i.e., infant mortality drops, children can attend school rather than retrieve water, and more. The organization is also uniting the children of America and Uganda to give and receive the gift of clean water.
"We're grateful that Anthony Kearns is lending his voice to help us save lives in Uganda as our National Ambassador. We're proud of our new PSA and the hard work Anthony and so many others have devoted to this effort," said Nick Jordan, Wells of Life Founder and President.
"In 2014 alone, we secured funding for 30 wells. Anthony's hard work is a major factor in our success," said Jordan.
He added, "Not only did Anthony headline our recent annual fundraising gala but he dedicated a well – named 'The Anthony Kearns 9/11 Memorial Well' – in honor of the victims of 9/11 and those who defend freedom."

"Together, we can make a big difference," said Kearns. "This Thanksgiving, let's not only give thanks for all that we have – let's come together to help bring clean water to people in need."
