New Stem Cell Transplant Center Opens in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, July 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Eastern Regional Medical Center proudly opened its new stem cell transplant center to patients with hematologic malignancies today. The 17,000 square foot center includes eight state-of-the-art inpatient rooms, along with a dedicated infusion suite and apheresis and stem cell collection unit.

Under the leadership of highly regarded hematologist-oncologists Dr. Pamela Crilley and Dr. David Topolsky, the expanded Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy Program will provide stem cell transplantation therapies and other treatments for patients with hematologic malignancies such as acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and multiple myeloma.
