xG Health Solutions strengthens clinical expertise with addition of two Geisinger leaders
COLUMBIA, Md., Oct. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- To expand its expertise in care management and population health, xG Health Solutions™ is adding two former Geisinger executive leaders to its team – Duane Davis, M.D., FACP, FACR; and Steven Pierdon, M.D.

Both Drs. Davis and Pierdon will further strengthen the clinical and organizational management capabilities that xG Health provides to other health care organizations on their journey to care transformation.
Dr. Davis joined Geisinger Health System in 1978 and has more than 30 years of experience in patient and managed care. He served as president and chief executive officer of Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) since May 2012. Prior to that, he was vice president and chief medical officer for GHP. His career has been devoted to clinical quality improvement, clinical redesign and value creation at the local, state, and national levels.
Most recently, Dr. Pierdon served as executive vice-president and chief medical officer for Geisinger Northeast. Prior to that, he led the development of the community practice service line (primary care) at Geisinger, initiated chronic disease and preventive care sets of measures, oversaw Geisinger Health Plan pay-for-performance contracting, and spearheaded the medical home initiative.
