2012 Early Education and Technology for Children Conference Bringing Early Learning to Salt Lake City
Dr. Susan Landry and Dr. Douglas Clements to be Keynote Speakers.
SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Salt Lake City, Utah, has been selected to host the second annual Early Education and Technology for Children (EETC) conference on March 14-16, 2012, at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center.
EETC is an annual conference that brings researchers, policy makers, administrators, and educators together to explore cutting-edge research and developments in early education.
Over 40 presenters from around the globe will present their research at EETC, with topics covering the latest advances in the evaluation and implementation of early education technology.
Keynote speakers for the conference include Dr. Susan Landry, a nationally recognized expert in early childhood education, and Founder and Director of the Children's Learning Institute; and Dr. Douglas Clements, noted scholar in early childhood mathematics education, and author of Early Childhood Mathematics Education Research: Learning Trajectories for Young Children.
In addition, EETC will host featured speakers Dr. Chip Donohue, Director of Distance Learning at Erikson Institute, Dr. Michael Levine, Founding Director of the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop, Dr. Brad Wilcox, Professor of Education at Brigham Young University and author of the Annie McRae children's books, and Dr. Dustin Heuston, Chairman, Founder, and CEO of Waterford Institute™, and author of The Third Source: A Message of Hope for Education.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in one of two technology seminars hosted by Dr. Warren Buckleitner, Founding Editor of Children's Technology Review, and Founder of the Dust or Magic Institute on the Design of Children's Interactive Media.
