2012 MIECF: "Macao International Environmental Protection Forum and Exhibition" Raises Its Fancy Curtain!

MACAO, March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2012 Macao International Environmental Protection Forum and Exhibition (2012 MIECF) is held from 29 to 31 March (Thursday to Saturday) at the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.

More than 390 organizations and companies from 28 countries participate in 2012 MIECF hosted by Macao SAR who considers "The development direction of worldwide environmental industry as well as Macao's role as a World Tourism and Leisure Centre and low-carbon city."

With the theme of "Green economy" based on spirits of "Thinking Green", "Going Clean", and "Living Green", various events are held including "Green Showcase", "Green Forum" and "Green Matching."

In particular, MIECF has attracted the participation of various electric vehicle manufacturers. They exhibit a variety of electric and hybrid vehicles and will have a trial test. Also a number of companies producing energy-saving products will also take part in the Green Showcase, particularly those engaged in LED lighting, kitchen waste disposal equipment, heat recovery equipment and solar products.

The Green Showcase features products and solutions economically and environmentally-sustainable and aims at providing business visitors networking opportunities in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, green mobility, waste and water management and other related services.

Meanwhile, MIECF has attracted the participation of 333 organizations and companies from 48 countries and regions last year. Also during the 3-day event, a total of 574 green business matching sessions were held, resulting in the signing of 31 agreements. Over 390 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions are participating this year at the exhibition center of 16,911 square meters.
