"Everything we do at Victory Living Programs is about paving the way for and creating a more independent lifestyle for our clients," states Bobbi Wigand, Executive Director. "Subsequently, our clients ask for household items such as sheet sets, comforters, George Foreman Grills, CD's and clothes."
This event is so special and heart-warming that it has caught the attention of CBS Miami. The Focus on S. Florida segment, hosted by Michele Gillen, featuring Victory Living Programs aired on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 10 a.m. on CBS or MyTV33 network.
"We are so excited for the CBS Segment," stated Bobbi Wigand. "Not only will the segment allow us to publicly thank our sponsors Pinion Inc. and The Capital Grille, but it will allow us to raise awareness of our mission: providing individualized services and opportunities to persons with disabilities so that they may experience life to its fullest and reach their highest level of independence."
For more than eight years Pinion Inc., a S. Florida based nonprofit has served as the secret Santa for the clients of Victory Living Programs. "It is a fun event which is also very humbling," states Marian McCray-DeLoach, President. This special holiday event gives our members a sense of appreciation for these loving people's basic needs. It is a reminder that our fundraising efforts must never fall behind and gives us introspect for just how lucky most of us are in our own lives."
In addition to the gift giving frenzy sponsored by Pinion, The Capital Grille donates deliciously catered food for the clients to enjoy. "This is the fourth year Capital Grille has offered to cater our annual holiday party and we are so grateful for their contribution," states Wigand.
