2014 PRSA Northeast District Conference Slated for Sept. 18 & 19
Event to be held in Rochester for communicators of all ranges
ROCHESTER, N.Y., Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Registration is still open for the 2014 Public Relations Society Northeast District Conference scheduled for Sept. 18 and 19 in Rochester, N. Y. The event is open to all communications professionals from across the northeast region as well as nationally, who work in public relations, marketing, advertising or other areas of corporate and non-profit communications. Communicators throughout the Northeast will gather at this fall's Public Relations Society of America Northeast District in Rochester, New York. The district conference, "Blurring the Lines: The New PR Invasion of Marketing, Media and Mindshare" takes place over two days:
- Thursday, Sept. 18, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Rochester Institute of Technology with half day, pre-conference trainings, and on
- Friday, Sept. 19, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the RIT Inn & Conference Center with a full day of workshops, panel discussions and keynote presentations by Smart and Breakenridge.
Hosted by the Rochester chapter of PRSA, the conference is designed to help professionals gain a better understanding of today's communications landscape, particularly in managing traditional, social and digital media strategies to effectively communicate across diverse audiences.

Renowned media and public relations strategy experts Michael Smart and Deirdre Breakenridge will be the keynote presenters.
Having trained more than 6,000 public relations professionals globally, Michael Smart will share tips on how to boost communications results, including assisting attendees in improving media pitching and public relations strategies. Deirdre Breakenridge will decode some of the new and exciting concepts in the communications field, such as influence marketing, big data and predictive analysis.
