Chicago-area dealership places both Porsche SUVs against one another in head-to-head comparison
CHICAGO, April 25, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- There is a lot of excitement in the country surrounding the all-new 2015 Porsche Macan crossover SUV since it was announced from the German automaker just a few short months ago. In the Chicago area, one Porsche dealership has already been receiving inquiries about the arrival of the newest performance-minded SUV from Porsche. Loeber Motors, located near Chicago, has experienced a tremendous amount of consumer interest on not only the details of the Macan, but how it will compare against Porsche's other SUV offering, the Porsche Cayenne.

The all-new 2015 Porsche Macan is slated to arrive at dealerships sometime very soon, as Porsche has announced it will make its appearance to the U.S. roadways in the spring of 2014. In a lot of ways, the 2015 Macan is very similar to Porsche's best-selling vehicle of all time, the Cayenne SUV. However, the new crossover SUV does manage to distinguish itself from the slightly larger Cayenne. The most obvious difference between the Macan and Cayenne is the size. Ideal for both the urban and rural landscape, the all-new Macan measures about seven inches shorter than the Cayenne and features a slightly lower ride height. These two very important characteristics allow for the all-new crossover SUV from Porsche to provide a very nimble and responsive driving feel, characteristics that have always been a hallmark of the Porsche nameplate.
In addition to its smaller size, the 2015 Porsche Macan will also feature different engine offerings as well. Comparing both the Cayenne and smaller Macan at the base levels, the Macan's naturally aspirated engine is able to churn out a total of 40 more horsepower than the Cayenne's 300 horsepower. The Macan will be offered in two main trim levels, the Macan S and the Macan Turbo, while the Cayenne still holds the title for SUV flexibility offering choices of nine different SUV options.
Despite the fewer trim levels, features like an available all-wheel drive system and seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) transmission still provide plenty of flexibility for any driver interested in owning a Macan crossover SUV. The Macan also boasts impressive track figures as well, recording 0-60 mph times in just 5.2 seconds and reaching top speeds of up to 156 mph.
