24 Seven Hosts Job Readiness Training for High School Students

NEW YORK, March 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- 24 Seven Inc., one of New York City's top 10 talent recruitment agencies, hosted 12 students from Brooklyn's Academy of Innovative Technology High School for an intensive day-long job readiness training session. This was part of 24 Seven's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) community outreach initiative.

Recruiters from 24 Seven provided in-depth skills workshops designed to help students prepare for job interviews and searches.   Comprehensive training in resume writing, interviewing skills, workplace conduct and even how to dress for an interview were addressed in the training.

The Academy of Innovation Technology HS is part of the National Academy Foundation (NAF) www.naf.org, a nonprofit organization founded in 1982 by Sanford I. Weill, Chairman Emeritus of Citigroup Inc. NAF works with the public school systems across the country bringing business partnership and industry focus on four themes: Finance, Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology and Engineering.

The Academy of Innovative Technology High School prepares all students to enter college and employment after a four year curriculum integrating challenging academics with up-to-the-minute technology. Students acquire official certifications in several Information Technology applications on state-of-the-art technology, participate in internships, and gain the experiences to make them confident, skilled and productive citizens. Students continue to be supported after they graduate through networking, alumni support groups and e-conferences.
