Leading daily fantasy sports provider FantasyAces announces live championship at Angel Stadium with once-in-a-lifetime on-field experience and $100,000 grand prize.
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., April 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FantasyAces.com, a leader in the rapidly growing $3.6 billion Daily Fantasy Sports industry, announced today that it will host the first-ever live championship event at a professional sports stadium with a quarter-million dollars in prizes.
The $250,000 FantasyAces World Baseball Championship at Angel Stadium will take place on August 14-15, 2015, with 20 qualifiers enjoying a once-in-a-lifetime on-field experience before competing in a live one-day final at the ballpark's exclusive Ketel One Club for a $100,000 grand prize.
The FAWBC prize package includes a three-day luxury vacation to Southern California, with accommodations at the renowned Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach and an unforgettable harbor cruise on Friday evening aboard a deluxe 100-foot motor yacht.
On Saturday, the 20 FAWBC qualifiers will spend the day at the Big A, beginning with a behind-the-scenes VIP tour. Then, they will take the field for the FantasyAces Home Run Derby with a live feed on the scoreboard monitor.
The live championship event will take place in the spacious Ketel One Club overlooking home plate. Qualifiers will enjoy complimentary food and beverages throughout the day, as well as live baseball action on multiple high-definition flat screen monitors. At the end of the evening, someone will walk away with a $100,000 first-place prize.
On Sunday, FantasyAces will host a gourmet brunch at the famed American Junkie sports bar to conclude the formal schedule of activities.
Weekly qualifying events for the FAWBC will begin on April 10, 2015, at FantasyAces.com, with the winner of each contest claiming a seat in the 20-person live final.
FantasyAces was founded in 2012 by Tom Frisina and sons Trent and Bryan, and the site opened for daily gameplay in March 2013. The Frisina family focuses on providing unmatched customer service and creating proprietary contest offerings such as SalaryPro™, which features a flexible salary cap for a uniquely exciting daily fantasy sports experience.
In 2014, the $100,000 FantasyAces Football Championship was one of only three live event finals in the daily fantasy sports industry, and the $100,000 FantasyAces Basketball Championship was the first live NBA event final announced for 2015.
"We are excited to be the first daily fantasy sports provider to offer a live championship event at a professional sports stadium," said FantasyAces co-founder Trent Frisina. "We are also excited to offer a $250,000 prize pool, which is our biggest contest to date—it's a major league venue with major league cash prizes."
