$30,000 In College Scholarships Up For Grabs In "Reel" Milk Moment Video Contest

PHOENIX, Aug. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- With today's college students known as the "iGeneration," Arizona Milk Producers are helping them earn college scholarships their way – via videos submitted on Instagram and online.

In fact, Arizona dairy farmers have been making higher education more accessible by awarding scholarships through their Arizona Milk Producers Scholarship Contest for more than 50 years now. New this year, applicants simply need to create and share a :30 or less "Reel" Milk Moment video that features at least one dairy product. While it all starts with farm-fresh milk, there are plenty of dairy products you can incorporate into your "reel," including yogurt, cheese and more! To upload a video for the chance to win, students can submit via: http://azmilk.co/contest or go to Instagram and include #ampscholarshipcontest.

Arizona residents who are or will be enrolled in a local post-secondary school (university, college or community college) can enter starting today and could win one of three scholarships: The first-place winner will receive a $12,000 scholarship, the second-place winner will receive $10,000 and the third-place winner will receive $8,000.

"We think moving from photo submissions to videos will really spark interest and creativity in this year's contest. We also don't require an extensive application process as the goal is for this to be fun and turnkey for students!" said Tammy Baker, General Manager for Arizona Milk Producers.

Entering the contest is easy.

1. Website: upload a :30 or less video that features a dairy product, such as milk, yogurt or cheese, and fill out a short entry form.
2. Instagram: upload video, tag @azmilkproducers and include the hashtag #ampscholarshipcontest. Only enter via the web OR Instagram, not both.
3. Be creative with the videos, showing how dairy plays a role in day-to-day lives.

Starting Sept. 10, each week through Nov. 21, one weekly finalist will be selected based on the creativity of their video and will receive a $50 grocery gift card, plus a pair of tickets to the FIESTA BOWL game including parking pass and pre-game party on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019. At the Fiesta Bowl game, the top three scholarship winners will be announced.

Scholarship nominees must be Arizona residents eligible for the 2019 term or currently enrolled with a minimum of 12 credit hours at an Arizona university. Official rules, details and drawing dates are posted on the website at http://azmilk.co/contest.
