30 Days of Free Eco-Friendly Holiday Giveaways
Free Eco-Friendly Gifts & Green Toys Holiday Giveaway from World of Green
N. PALM BEACH, Fla., Nov. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- In celebration of the upcoming holidays, World of Green is kicking off "30 Days of Free Eco-Friendly Holiday Giveaways" on KDKA-TV's "Pittsburgh Today Live" morning show on November 17, 2010. Appearing as a regular guest on KDKA-TV, founder and CEO Roberta Modena will be showcasing an assortment of eco-friendly, non-toxic, green toys that are better for the environment. "The Pittsburgh market is very receptive to living more eco-conscious, and this is a great way for people to see why these eco-friendly products are better alternatives especially since many of them are only available online," says Modena.
Like their 40th Anniversary of Earth Day promotion held back in April, World of Green will be giving away a free eco-friendly gift every day for 30 days just by entering the holiday giveaway on their website, www.worldofgreen.com "Consumers love getting free products, especially during these tough economic times," says Modena.
The first free eco-friendly gift giveaway on November 17th is a recycled Fire Truck by Green Toys, a California company that designs popular children's toys from actual curbside recycled milk cartons. A newcomer to World of Green, Global Green Pals is donating one of their delightful certified organic cotton dolls with clever names like "Clean Air Kate" and "Carbon Offset Chet" with imaginative character tags educating children how to help the Earth. Because wrapping paper and shopping bags alone account for about 4 million tons of trash annually in the U.S., according to earth911, World of Green will be suggesting wrapping paper alternatives this year like reusable fabric bags by FabricWrapper, plantable wrapping paper by Nature Gifts & More and customized holiday cards from Night Owl Paper Goods. In addition, visitors can expect to win meaningful eco-friendly gift ideas like an organic food basket from Food for Thought and a variety of plantable trees from Tree Beginnings.
The last week of giveaways will be televised on December 13th on KDKA-TV's "Pittsburgh Live" with Roberta Modena In addition to earth-friendly toys, consumers can expect to win a variety of ethical fashion items from recycled aluminum jewelry from Jillery to super-soft and luxurious bamboo robes from Sweetwater and Jonano as well as natural beeswax aromatherapy candles from Pure Light, LLC. The grand finale giveaway comes from new partner CarbonFund.org, the leader in certified carbon offsets. They're donating a free home assessment to a lucky winner so that their home and/or apartment's energy usage will be offset and 100% carbon neutral. "Of all the giveaways we're doing, I'm most excited about this one because it allows a family to reduce their carbon emission and be a part of the bigger picture to transition to a clean energy," says Modena.
