GOODYEAR, Ariz., Sept. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- 911 ETC announced that VoIPConnect® has successfully achieved Cisco compatibility certification with Cisco Unified Communications for the Enterprise, Version 2.2.3. The Internet of Everything (IoE) continues to bring together people, processes, data and things to enhance the relevancy of network connections. As a member of the Cisco® Solution Partner Program, 911 ETC is able to quickly create and deploy solutions to enhance the capabilities, performance and management of the network to capture value in the IoE.
911 ETC's VoIPConnect helps organizations using Cisco Unified Communications to manage E911 and meet legislation requirements. The solution routes outgoing 911 calls to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point and works with any type of phone that is included on the enterprise IP network including digital, analog, IP hardphones, softphones, and SIP phones. VoIPConnect can also work in conjunction with Cisco Emergency Responder in the discovery of phones as they move about an enterprise.
"In some cases, IoE includes voice endpoints connected to an enterprise voice-core across the nation. This presents an urgent need for accurate E911 coverage of end-users," states Bill Svien, VP of Corporate Strategy for 911 ETC. "Our VoIPConnect solution is designed to work seamlessly with Cisco Unified Communications and Cisco Emergency Responder allowing customers to fully utilize their Cisco voice-core investment. More and more enterprises are seeing the need to deploy E911 throughout their entire voice infrastructure. We are excited to offer this integrated and cost effective solution."
