A florist. A mysterious woman. A guy from the city.
Things are never as simple as they appear.
NEW YORK, April 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Once upon a time, there was a man named Warren who owned a flower shop in the suburbs. He was a simple man who liked simple things: classical music, classic literature, and beautiful flowers. One day, a dark and mysterious woman enters his shop wanting to buy herself flowers for her birthday. Her name is Aerial. When Warren offers to give her the flowers as a present, she invites him to dinner at her place. There, Warren meets Aerial's husband, Richie DelRay. He is not a nice dude.

Things are never as simple as they appear and over the next 24 hours, Warren's life is going to become extremely… complicated.
"Simple Things," a web series created by writer/director/editor, Anthony Marinelli, unfolds in eight episodes, with "web" being the operative word here. It is a tangled one indeed, with hidden desires, violent deception, and a deadly game of cat and mouse. Behind the closed doors of a quiet, unnamed suburban town, lurk secrets of the heart and skeletons in the closet. It has been called a cross between Elmore Leonard and Stephen King and the style recalls what you might see in pulp novels and the surreal darkness of David Lynch.
All eight episodes have been written by Anthony Marinelli (who will also direct) and the show is cast. But there are production costs that need to be met before filming can begin. This will be a SAG production featuring professional actors and a seasoned crew of artists and technicians who will provide the necessary polish to advance "Simple Things" beyond the clutter and noise that one finds so readily on the web and will be instrumental in gaining the largest viewership possible. "Simple Things" will be shared, discussed and emulated. It will change the dynamic of what one expects from a web series and will provide a launching pad of creative opportunity, an alternative to the short film in expressing ideas, discovering talent and pushing boundaries.
To become a partner in the creation of "Simple Things," all you need to do is go to its crowd funding partner, RocketHub:
