A Parisian Winter of Shopping, Affordable Prices and Romance
PARIS, December 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --
From December to February, Paris is the setting for illuminations, the winter sales and then romance. Three successive marketing events - Christmas Shopping, Shopping by Paris and Romantic Paris - add to the season's events and entertainment.
In December, the Christmas Shopping event enhances the magic of the festive season, with exceptional gifts for visitors. Until 31 December, the Bureau will be giving them free copies of the Paris City Passport Shopping 2012 at its five tourist information points. Normally given to shoppers for free after purchases of €80, this nominative pass, valid for three consecutive days, entitles the holder to 10% reductions in 70 or so renowned shops. Also new, a Concierge Service: visitors will benefit from free delivery to their hotel (allow 4 working days from day of ordering) of any goods purchased on the booking website between 1 and 15 December 2012.
In January, it is the Shopping By Paris event. On the occasion of the winter sales, Parisian accommodation providers will be offering their guests special promotions or free extras (offers online on parisinfo.com): complimentary breakfasts, upgrading, bottle of champagne, each one will have their own way of welcoming their guests! Plus, for great shopping, the Bureau is publishing the 7th edition of the Paris Shopping Book with its six bespoke itineraries.
In February, it is Valentine's Day every day with Romantic Paris. The Bureau's 'leisure tourism' members have enticing offers for couples. Alongside the offers of leisure operators and for the first time, the Bureau is offering reductions of 10% on five leading attractions as well as on the new 3-day Paris City Passport - a handy pass that includes major tourist attractions and transport. (These offers can be found from 3 January in the Bureau's online shop and at its five tourist information points).
