Turns TEDTalk soundbites into shareable media objects for spreading ideas

NEW YORK, Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Everybody loves a good quote.  That's why TED, the nonprofit dedicated to "ideas worth spreading," launches TED Quotes today, a new online feature that collects notable statements from TEDTalks, groups them by category, and makes them as easy to share as TEDTalk videos.

To celebrate its Valentine's Day launch, TED Quotes offers these heart-fluttering favorites:

Designed to make TEDTalks even more accessible, digestible and shareable, the TED Quotes section of TED.com serves as a resource for both discovering new TEDTalks and finding culturally relevant quotes useful for any purpose. 

TED Quotes gathers and sorts hundreds of the best quotes by topic, including technology, entertainment and design, as well as business, collaboration, DNA, happiness, changing the world, and, yes, love. When viewers click on a quote, they can watch the full talk, or instantly play that quote within the video. Viewers can then, if so inspired, re-share the same quote on Twitter, Facebook, email and other channels. TED will monitor for the most-shared quotes.
