ACA International Education Foundation Announces 2012 Scholarship Winner From Washington

MINNEAPOLIS, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- ACA International Education Foundation today announces that Emily Warnes of Battle Ground, Wash. has been awarded a $1,000 Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship to help support her post-secondary education.

Honoring the memories of Robert E. Loomer and Irvin "Dempsey" Mortenson, the Loomer-Mortenson Scholarship is available annually to employees of the credit and collections industry and members of their family. 

A total of three winners, including Emily, were selected from a national pool of more than 20 applicants based on several criteria including a consumer financial literacy essay. The two other 2012 Loomer-Mortenson recipients are Shea Nolan of Suwanee, Ga. and Austin Kempker of Jefferson City, Mo.

Founded in 1995, ACA International Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization focused on promoting consumer financial literacy.  It is the philanthropic arm of ACA International, the association of credit and collection professionals.
