AcademyWomen Marks Women's History Month by Hosting a Career Workshop and Sponsoring the Officer Women Leadership Symposium for All Female Military Officers, Senior Enlisted and Veterans 3-5 April at the Women's Memorial in Arlington, Virginia
ARLINGTON, Va., April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AcademyWomen's Women in Transition Career Coaching Workshop is an event focused on helping military women transition to meaningful civilian careers. Addressing the high unemployment rate among veterans and research confirming a period of 7 years for women to fully transition to civilian careers, this event provides an empowering setting with workshops focused on finding your fit among career options, resume writing, negotiation skills and an opportunity to network with military-friendly companies and meet inspiring role models to include Erin Conaton - former United States Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness who previously served as Under Secretary of the Air Force, Amy Hopkins - Director of Strategy and Analysis for Business and Advanced Systems Development at Northrop Grumman Corporation, Gina Lundy - Vice President for Pixia's Government Relations and Strategic Communications, Kathleen Reilly - Director at Raytheon, Debra Wada - Professional Staff for House Armed Services Committee.
