ACC Comments on the President's 2014 State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Cal Dooley, President and CEO of the American Chemistry Council (ACC), issued the following statement regarding President Obama's State of the Union address:

"As President Obama embarks on his 'year of action,' we hope he will remember that promoting innovation is one of the most effective ways to grow our economy, create opportunity and transform society. The President can demonstrate his support for America's innovators and manufacturers in an immediate and tangible way by supporting the bipartisan Chemical Safety Improvement Act (CSIA), sponsored by Senators Tom Udall and David Vitter. By lending his support to the CSIA, the President will help ensure American manufacturers can continue to expand, generate economic activity and create thousands of good-paying jobs all across the country."
