Mr. Rothfeder, who will report to Chief Content Officer Johnathan Davis, will oversee the continued transformation of IBTimes into a world-class multimedia news service, building and executing editorial strategies across the company's global newsrooms. Mr. Davis, who previously served as Executive Editor, will manage the company's branded content strategy across all platforms. Mr. Rothfeder brings more than 20 years of media and business leadership to the company. He joins IBTimes after holding key editorial and executive positions at Bloomberg, Time Inc., Businessweek, Booz & Co., and PC Magazine. He is an accomplished author and has written a number of top-selling and critically acclaimed business books including "McIlhenny's Gold," "Privacy for Sale," "The People vs. Big Tobacco (co-author), "Make or Break" (co-author), and "Minds Over Matter."

Mr. Rothfeder served as the National News Editor at Bloomberg News, where he managed the coverage of U.S. and Canadian companies, supervising a staff of over 200 editors and reporters in the production of 1,000 print, audio and video stories a day, including features, profiles, columns and breaking news. In addition to his work at Bloomberg, Mr. Rothfeder developed and managed award-winning magazines for Fidelity Investments and the New York Stock Exchange for Time's custom publishing unit; and spent four years as the Information Management Editor at Businessweek, where he was responsible for creating the Information Management department, which covered how society and business uses technology and disseminates information. More recently, he was a Senior Editor at Strategy&Business Magazine, primarily overseeing manufacturing coverage. And earlier in his career, he worked for The Washington Post as a business and environment Special Correspondent.
An award winning journalist, Mr. Rothfeder's articles have appeared in The New York Times, Portfolio, PC World, Chief Executive, St. Petersburg Times, Science, This Old House, Popular Science, CIO Insight, Consumer Reports, Forbes, and many other publications. His awards include the prestigious Award for Excellence in Technology Communication and the American Society of Business Press and Editors Excellence Competition. He was named one of the top 100 Business Journalists in the country by TJFR and was a finalist for the Loeb Award and the National Magazine Award. Mr. Rothfeder received a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of NY. He also attended University of California at Berkeley and City College of NY.
