ACG Tampa Bay to Host 8th Annual ACG Cup Competition
Tampa Bay's Premier MBA Student Competition
TAMPA, Fla., March 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The leadership of the Association for Corporate Growth's Tampa Bay Chapter announces the organization's 2017 ACG Cup Program, presented by title sponsor Crowe Horwath, LLP, will take place on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Participating schools include University of Florida, University of South Florida, University of Tampa and Rollins College.
The Tampa Bay ACG Cup is a case study competition designed to give students from our region's leading graduate programs real world experience and invaluable insights into mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, financial advisory and private equity. Each case study provides students with a unique opportunity to present valuation, capital markets and M&A strategic advice to a panel of seasoned M&A professionals from within the ACG community. ACG Tampa Bay began the program in 2010 and has given more than $60,000 in prize money as well as numerous volunteer hours from ACG members for school visits, networking, judging, and committee service.
"This is an important part of our Chapter's efforts to strengthen the Tampa Bay business community," says Marshall Morris, managing partner of Group125 LLC and the 2017 ACG Cup chairman. "By hosting this competition, we enable our members to forge closer relationships with the leading business schools in our region and introduce the next generation of business leaders to the premier M&A, corporate growth and corporate development community."
