A year-round program for adults with disabilities at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, Ohio
STRONGSVILLE, Ohio, April 12, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Achievement Centers for Children's Camp Cheerful has been providing enriching outdoor experiences for children with disabilities since 1940. Now adults of all ages with disabilities can enjoy all that Camp Cheerful has to offer in a new year-round adult day program.

"Our unique outdoor environment is the perfect setting to be able to offer such activities as gardening, landscaping, education along our nature trails, horsemanship activities, exercise and sports, as well as cooking, arts and crafts, community activities and field trips," said Connie Boros, Vice President of Recreation and Sports for the Achievement Centers for Children. The new "River Rock Adult Day Program" which will begin April 29, 2013, was named after the Rocky River that runs through part of the 52 acres of the Cleveland Metroparks on which Camp Cheerful is located. The year-round program will run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, and there is an optional supervised social time from 3-5:00 pm offered.
