OAKLAND, Calif., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- ADELANTE CAPITAL MANAGEMENT LLC today announced the hiring of former institutional marketer and most recently executive recruiter, Paul Olschwanger, as Director of Business Development, along with Eric Thaller, former Managing Director at Charles Schwab, as Director of Risk Management.

Paul Olschwanger founded and operated his own executive search, career coaching and organizational consulting firm over the past 12 years, focusing exclusively within the investment management industry.  The firm completed over 100 search assignments and coached over 50 investment professionals throughout the U.S.  Prior to establishing Olschwanger Partners, Paul held senior sales positions with a variety of money managers, including John Hancock and Fidelity.  Olschwanger is a long-time and active Board Member of the CFA Society of Dallas-Ft. Worth, a member of the CFA Institute and a Certified Birkman Consultant.  He has been a frequent speaker around the country focusing on career development issues within the investment management industry.

Among other positions prior to joining Charles Schwab, Eric was a portfolio manager at Standard Pacific Capital and AIM Investments as well as an Associate at Wilshire Associates. He has over 14 years of experience developing and managing active equity strategies incorporating the use of forecasting and risk models.
