LEWISVILLE, Texas, Nov. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Adeptus Health (NYSE: ADPT)  has officially opened First Texas Hospital in Carrollton, TX with full Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) certification from the Joint Commission.

According to The American College of Emergency Physicians' (ACEP) 2014 National Report Card, Texas received an F in access to emergency healthcare, underscoring the need for additional access to emergency care. The opening of First Texas Hospital will provide the people of Carrollton and North Dallas with increased access to the highest quality medical care.

First Texas Hospital, licensed by the state as a general hospital, includes 50 inpatient beds, three Operating Rooms, an emergency department and an imaging department equipped with the latest technologies.
