NUREMBERG, Alemanha, 29 de junho de 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Um terço das pessoas (34%) em uma pesquisa online de 17 países concordam totalmente[1] que "acha difícil se afastar da tecnologia (meu dispositivo móvel, computador, TV, etc.), mesmo quando sei que deveria". Comparado com menos da metade desse número (16%) que discorda totalmente[1] que é difícil se afastar.

As descobertas da empresa especialista em pesquisas globais, GfK, mostram que o gênero não faz quase nenhuma diferença na luta das pessoas para desligar seus aparelhos ou 'se desconectar' da tecnologia, com porcentagens quase iguais de homens e mulheres concordando que acham difícil.

No entanto, os diferentes grupos etários e de renda mostram diferenças na susceptibilidade a estar 'sempre conectadas'.

Grupos etários mais jovens lutam com o vício na tecnologia

Adolescentes (15-19 anos) são os mais propensos a lutar com o vício em tecnologia, com pouco menos da metade (44%) afirmando que sentem dificuldade em fazer uma pausa da tecnologia, mesmo quando sabem que deveriam. Isso cai para 41% para quem tem mais de vinte anos e 38% para quem está na casa dos trinta. Em seguida, cai de forma significativa em grupos mais velhos - situando-se em 29% das pessoas com quarenta anos, 23% para quem tem cinquenta e 15% para pessoas de 60 anos ou mais.

Criticamente, os grupos de 50-59 e 60+ são o ponto de inflexão, onde há porcentagens mais elevadas quem afirmam não ter nenhum problema para se desconectar da tecnologia, do que porcentagens que dizem ser difícil se desconectar.

Famílias de alta renda mostram a maior distância entre aqueles que acham fácil ou difícil se afastar da tecnologia. 

Para as pessoas que vivem em famílias de alta renda (em todos os 17 países), 39% acham difícil se desconectar da tecnologia, mesmo quando sabem que deveriam, enquanto 11% acham fácil - uma diferença de 28 pontos percentuais. Isso contrasta com as famílias de baixa renda, onde 30% acham difícil, enquanto 20% acham fácil - uma diferença de apenas 10 pontos percentuais.

China e as Américas têm porcentagens altas de pessoas que acham difícil deixar a tecnologia. Alemães lideram entre os que acham fácil. 

Em termos de país, a China (43%) tem o porcentual mais alto de população online que concorda totalmente que é difícil desconectar-se da tecnologia. É seguido de perto pelos países latino-americanos pesquisados (Brasil com 42%, Argentina 40%, México 38%), com os EUA em quinto lugar (31%).

Do outro lado, a Alemanha tem a maior percentagem (35%) de população online que discorda totalmente que é difícil deixar a tecnologia. É seguido pelos Países Baixos (30%), Bélgica (28%) e Canadá e Rússia (ambos com 27%).

As descobertas da GfK mostram claramente onde se encontram os principais mercados em vários níveis - de marcas que oferecem os mais recentes aparelhos visando consumidores 'sempre conectados' felizes, a marcas que oferecem serviços de 'tempo de qualidade' que ressoam com pessoas que gostam de se desconectar da tecnologia.
