WALNUT CREEK, Calif, Jan. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Advisor Software, Inc. is ramping up staffing to scale the firm's cloud platform and associated sales efforts with the hiring of a pair of industry veterans. David Cooper will serve as Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for leading the architecture, software engineering, and deployment of Advisor Software's next generation Wealth Management Cloud platform, while financial services and technology veteran Tom Flint joins the firm as Vice President of Sales.  In this role he will bring his considerable experience in Financial Technology to help accelerate the growth of Advisor Software's applications and APIs.

"We are extremely proud that such high-caliber individuals as David and Tom have chosen to join Advisor Software," said Chairman and CEO Andrew Rudd. "These two hires give our team a lot more bench strength and our clients' access to a pair of professionals who intimately understand the technology needs of wealth managers in a rapidly evolving market."

Cooper has over 25 years of experience delivering award-winning technology solutions, including turnkey systems, enterprise software, software-as-a-service, web, and mobile products. He has held CTO and senior executive technology positions in both large public companies including Fiserv and Greendot, and several small fast-growing startups.

"It's a great time to be joining Advisor Software, as this is truly an inflection point for the company" said Cooper.  "We are forging new ground in the wealth management space – building a cloud platform of APIs and apps that is truly unique in the industry."

In addition to being a Co-Founder of Tiburon Wealth Management, a San Francisco-based boutique investment advisory firm, Flint has held senior positions at Advent Software, where he consulted with RIAs on how to make their operations more efficient using technology; Black Diamond Performance Reporting, where he built out a West Coast presence and led the acquisition of their largest client; Salesforce.com, where he helped grow the Financial Services team and brought onboard several of their largest clients in the Central Region; BOX.COM; and Schwab Institutional. Immediately prior to joining Advisor Software, Flint led West Coast sales for the Mountain View-based investment management technology company, Addepar where he was responsible for bringing onboard some of their largest RIA and Family Office clients.

"I've worked with a lot of firms, both large and small throughout my career," explained Flint. "It was the vision and entrepreneurial spirit of the team at ASI that attracted me to this firm. I'm very excited to have the opportunity to help build upon the firm's great intellectual property and be part of Advisor Software's dynamic growth trajectory."
