THE HAGUE, The Netherlands, July 6, 2010 /PRNewswire/ --
- AEGON's Reputation as One of Europe's Leading Pension Providers Has Been Confirmed With Four 2010 European Pensions Awards.
On 1 July, AEGON Global Pensions was announced as winner of the European Pension Provider of the Year Award. In addition, AEGON Global Pensions' multi-client asset pooling solution won the Pension Pooling of the Year Award. AEGON subsidiary TKP was awarded the Multi-Manager of the Year Award for the third year in a row and also won the prestigious Fiduciary Manager of the Year Award.
Frans van der Horst, Managing Director of AEGON Global Pensions, says: 'Companies are increasingly looking to consolidate and centralise their pension activities around the world. For this reason, AEGON Global Pensions has developed a number of advanced national and international pension solutions, including AEGON's unique multi-client asset pooling solution. These awards recognise our capabilities and expertise in European pensions provision and confirm the value of our groundbreaking off-the-shelf asset pooling solution.'
Roelie van Wijk, CEO of TKP Investments (TKPI), states: 'As a specialist provider of fiduciary and asset management services, our customers are at the centre of everything we do. The two awards given to TKPI - one for the third time in a row - demonstrate the consistent high quality of our customer-driven services and our long term commitment to the pension industry. Quality assurance and a pioneering approach are among the pillars of our long-term success. We were among the first to develop multi-manager solutions back in the late 1980s and we have been the first to offer different clients the possibility of investing international pension assets in our multi-manager investment funds.'
European Pensions Awards
The European Pensions Awards are an initiative of the European Pensions magazine. The awards ceremony took place on 1 July in London. The awards were started in 2008 in order to recognize exceptional performance in pensions provision in Europe. The awards are open to all parties involved in providing pensions and supporting pension funds, including asset managers, consultant and pension providers. TKP Investments won the Multi-Manager of the Year award also in 2008 and 2009.
