AF Group To Support Michigan Creative Educators Summit

LANSING, Mich., April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- AF Group is proud to announce its support and participation in the seventh annual Michigan Creative Educators Summit. The event showcases outstanding education programs in K-12 and beyond, and explores ways that passion-driven learning is being strengthened through innovative business relationships.

The 2016 Michigan Creative Educators Summit (MCES) will be held at AF Group headquarters in Lansing on Tuesday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The theme of this year's summit is "Building Awareness, Strengthening Relationships and Supporting Growth." The keynote speaker will be Bridget Mary McCormack, Michigan Supreme Court Justice and co-founder of the University of Michigan's Law School Innocence Project.

MCES was created in 2009 by Jeff Croley and Jason LaFay, co-founders of The Michigan Creativity Group (MCG), to merge the worlds of business and education. MCG helps create unique learning opportunities, provides a support network to help students and business reach new heights, and promotes innovation and positivity to better serve the people of Michigan. Croley and LaFay will speak at the day-long event.

Darcy Kerr, senior vice president, Human Resources will speak on behalf of AF Group, a supporter of innovative educational collaborations such as the High School Insurance Leadership Academy.

Other confirmed speakers at the 2016 MCES include Jackie Thomas Hall, director of Diversity and Inclusion at Sparrow Health, Bob Thomas, senior director of operations at the Michigan Chamber of Commerce and the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, and Stephanie Comai from the Governor's Talent Investment Board.

The program will also feature the presentation of the Michigan Creativity Group's "Innovative Education Awards" for 2016. The recipients include:
