AFSCME District Councils 33 and 47 to join the Grinch to deliver nearly 2,000 postcards to Mayor 1% Nutter calling for a Better Philadelphia for All
PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the Grinch will be joined by members of AFSCME District Councils 33 and 47 and other City unions, religious, social justice and community groups to deliver nearly 2,000 postcards signed by city residents from across the city calling on Mayor 1% Nutter to put the needs of communities ahead of the interests of the few and to stand for a better Philadelphia for ALL.
As part of the activity, the group will sing an original carol called the "12 Days of Nutter," calling attention to the choices that the 1% mayor has made that hurt Philadelphia. The mayor continues to reduce vital services that benefit Philadelphia's neediest citizens.
The hard working men and women of DC 33 and 47 are coming together with community, religious and social justice groups to fight for more public service to build a better Philadelphia for ALL.
