AIRMALL® at BWI and Borders Announce December Book Signings

BALTIMORE, Dec. 9, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- AIRMALL® USA, the leading airport concessions developer in North America and operators of the AIRMALL at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), will welcome a host of authors who will be conducting book signings throughout December at Borders, located in the airport's Terminal A/B, Southwest Airlines.

The following two book signings are scheduled for Friday, December 10:

  • Author and speaker Kathie Truitt will sign False Victims, her psychological thriller based on a true story, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Rique Johnson, a writer and poet based in Springfield, Va., will sign copies of his exhilarating thrillers, Love & Justice, A Dangerous Return, Whispers from a Troubled Heart and Every Woman's Man from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, December 11, local author Donna Gross will sign her children's book, Higbert the Dragon, an adventure about a friendly dragon who teaches others about the importance of kindness and friendship, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  

On Thursday, December 16, Charles Beserap, author and former officer of the United States Secret Service, will sign copies of An American at the Crossroads from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  In his book, Beserap walks the line between right and wrong, right and left, and truth and distortion in the age of global terror.

The following two book signings are scheduled for Friday, December 17:

  • Bobbie Hinman, an author from Bel Air, Md. who writes enchantingly illustrated tales about the magical interaction between children and fairies, will sign copies of The Fart Fairy, The Bellybutton Fairy, The Knot Fairy and The Sock Fairy from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  
  • Capt. Edward Brittingham, a retired U.S. Navy officer and author of military-themed fiction and nonfiction, will sign copies of Sub Chasers, Operation Poppy, The Iranian Deception and Terrorism in the United States, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The following two book signings are scheduled for Saturday, December 18:

  • Veronica Odum, a poet and songwriter from Baltimore, Md., will sign her most recent book of poetry, TGbTG (To God Be the Glory) from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Author, poet and artist Janine L. Kimmel will be signing copies of The Magic Gown, her colorfully illustrated adventure story for young readers, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

On Sunday, December 19, author and illustrator Mark Wayne Adams, will sign copies of King for a Day: A Story of Stories, a book that teaches children about friendship, integrity, and self-discovery, encouraging them to create their own stories using the tools within themselves.  The signing will take place from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The following two book signings are scheduled for Wednesday, December 22 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.:

  • Amanda Kleback will sign copies of her children's book, Hoo Hoo's Song, which tells the story about a bear's special journey from a far away land to his new family.
  • Tessa Larock will sign copies of her young adult's book, Semus Bracelet, an adventure story of comradery, love, friendship and a battle between deities.

The following two book signings are scheduled for Thursday, December 23:

  • Devora Zack will sign copies of her book, Networking for People Who Hate Networking: A Field Guide for the Introverted, the Overwhelmed and the Underconnected, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Zack, a proud introvert and enthusiastic networker, writes about how those averse to networking can succeed by working their strengths.
  • Maryann Cusimano Love will be signing her children's books You Are My Miracle and You Are My I Love You from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., which are both stories about the transcendent, loving bonds that exists between a parent and child.
