Alabama Power Company Announces Planned Redemption of Senior Notes
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On April 2, 2012 Alabama Power plans to redeem all of the company's outstanding $250 million Series 2007B 5.875% Senior Notes due April 1, 2047
(Cusip No. 010392496, NYSE: ALM) at a redemption price equal to 100 percent of the principal amount plus any accrued and unpaid interest to the date of redemption.
Holders of the 2007B Senior Notes will receive a notice of redemption at least 30 days prior to the redemption date. The Bank of New York Mellon Global Corporate Trust will serve as redemption agent.
Alabama Power, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Southern Company (NYSE: SO), provides reliable, affordable electricity to more than 1.4 million customers across the state.
