Alameda County Fair Announces 2014 "Big O Tires Concert Series" Lineup
"Best Seats" concert wristbands each day with early admission
PLEASANTON, Calif., May 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Top recording and touring acts including Eddie Money, Night Ranger, Shaggy, Ashanti, Brett Eldredge, Con Funk Shun, Tesla, JT Hodges and America are ready to rock the house as part of this year's exciting lineup for Alameda County Fair's Big O Tires Concert Series.
In addition, classic rock fans won't want to miss a special appearance by Creedence Clearwater Revisited, a group featuring two original CCR members who perform all of the band's greatest hits.
Popular tribute bands Evolution (Journey) and True to Crue (Motley Crue) will perform more classic rock favorites, and Tejano fans will enjoy a Selena tribute featuring Irene Davi. Davi appears as part of a special double headline show with La Unica Sonora Santanera, an internationally renowned Latin /Tropical orchestra.
Other performers include comedian Paul Rodriguez, Christian rock band, Building 429, and Disney star Coco Jones. A special, daylong Blues Festival is planned for the 4th of July from 1-9pm.
Big O Tires Concert Series shows are free with admission and occur nightly at 8pm in the Safeway Amphitheater. Overflow seating provided at the Concert Lawn with live-feed Jumbotron screen. A "Tribute to Alameda County" video presentation and special effects show will follow the concerts nightly at 9:45pm.
Also, for the first time, fans are now able to get the "Best Seats" for their favorite performers. The Fair will distribute early entry wristbands to the first 300 in line daily starting at 2-3pm for the concert each night.
