About Lighthouse Public Affairs, LLC
Founded in 2016 from the merger of two longtime San Francisco-based public affairs firms (Barbary Coast Consulting and Goodyear Peterson Hayward), Lighthouse's combined team of consultants and roster of industry-leading clients enabled it to launch as the Bay Area's preeminent public affairs consultancy on its first day. Founded with offices in San Francisco, Oakland, Palo Alto and San Rafael, its seasoned professionals combine multi-disciplinary expertise that uniquely positions Lighthouse to manage the most complex challenges in government relations, community relations and media relations for businesses and organizations operating in the nation's most dynamic region.
When Lighthouse Public Affairs opened its Sacramento office in early 2018, it wasn't merely to add a satellite office. Instead, Lighthouse sought to extend its successful model of multi-disciplinary experts delivering a unified approach to advocacy for clients facing public affairs challenges at the statewide level. Holly Fraumeni De Jesús, who joined early as a partner, brought more than 20 years' experience as a veteran lobbyist and still more years of expertise on a wide variety of public policy work. Lighthouse director Sosan Madanat brought an impressive background as former executive director to a nonprofit foundation and a state senate legislative aide. Additionally, she was well prepared for her previous role in the Governor's Office of Legal Affairs by her work at McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific, where she earned her JD. Rounding out the top-notch Sacramento Lighthouse team is Of Counsel Steve Hansen, who lends insightful perspectives on senior executives in state and local government and the law, using his broad experience drawn from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and the law degree he holds from UOP's McGeorge School of Law.
