Alimentation Couche-Tard's offer for all shares in statoil fuel & retail has reached an acceptance level over 90%
LAVAL, QC, June 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. ("Couche-Tard") (TSX: ATD.A ATD.B) announces that its offer, through its wholly owned subsidiary Couche-Tard Norway AS, for all the shares of Statoil Fuel & Retail ASA ("SFR") (Oslo Børs/SFR), has as per June 20, 2012 received acceptances for 272,770,674 shares, representing approximately 90.92 percent of the outstanding shares and votes, in SFR, and thus exceeded rights to 90 percent of the shares and votes in SFR, ref the Norwegian Securities Trading Act, Section 4-2 subsection (2).
The acceptance period for the voluntary offer expires on June 20, 2012 at 17.30 CET, and settlement for shares tendered under the voluntary offer in the period from June 13, 2012 through June 20, 2012 at 17.30 CET, will occur on June 26, 2012.
